PETALING JAYA: Examinations on two pieces of plane debris found in South Africa and Mauritius have been completed and experts concluded they "almost certainly" came from flight MH370.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said following the "thorough examination" by the international experts, the Malaysian ICAO Annex 13 Safety Investigation Team concluded that both pieces of debris "are consistent with panels found on a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft."
Two pieces of debris recovered from beaches in Mozambique -- one found last December and the other in February -- almost certainly came from missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau said Tuesday.
PUTRAJAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai says the three pieces of aircraft debris found in Mozambique recently was brought to Malaysia yesterday.
Another piece which was found in Mauritius last week will arrive today, he said.
"Department of Civil Aviation director-general Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman just brought back three pieces of debris from Namibia yesterday and we are expecting one piece from Mauritius today.
"The pieces will be analysed here, and if necessary it will be sent to Australia for further verification that they belong to the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370," he told reporters earlier.
