KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — A piece of debris that was found on the Mauritian Island of Rodrigues is currently being transported to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Mauritius.
The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) director-general Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said DCA is in communication with the CAA of Mauritius and all efforts are being made to retrieve the debris.
PETALING JAYA: An object believed to have come from inside the cabin of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been found on an island in Mauritius, east of Africa, according to a report.
MH370 Independent Group (IG) expert Don Thompson told news.com.au. that he saw photographs of the part and said it appeared to match the bulkhead of a MAS Boeing 777 business class cabin.
KUALA LUMPUR: The two pieces of debris found in Mozambique are “almost certainly” from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
“They (investigators) managed to verify that these two pieces of debris belong to Boeing 777 parts.
“The paint and stencil on these two pieces are similar to MAS’ (Malaysia Airlines) paint and also that they concluded that (the parts) are almost certainly (from) MH370,” Liow told reporters after the launch of DRB-Hicom Asia Cargo Express’ new livery and logo for its air freight services here yesterday.
