KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Underwater search for the seven-month missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was now prioritised to an area further south on the 'seventh arc' search area in the Indian Ocean.

The decision was confirmed based on the latest analyses undertaken by a team from the United Kingdom, United States, Australia and Malaysia.

An official report detailing on the analyses was released by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), which spearheaded the search operation, today.

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Malaysia-China cooperation including in dealing with the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and major joint ventures, were among the subjects discussed by a high-ranking Chinese politician with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, here Tuesday.

The visiting State Councillor Yang Jie Chi called on Najib, who is also the Finance Minister, at the Finance Ministry here.

Also present were the Prime Minister's Special Envoy to China, Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting, China's Ambassador to Malaysia Huang Huikang and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Liu Zhenmin.

MELBOURNE, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Fugro Discovery has arrived in Fremantle to participate in the search later this week, for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which disappeared on March 8.

The vessel had fit-out work done in Durban, South Africa before arriving in Western Australia, and will have search equipment, as well as a mission crew mobilised over the next few days, the Australian Associated Press reported.

It is reported that GO Phoenix is due to arrive at its allocated underwater search area Sunday.
